That's the question that Laura Castellano and Javier Soler asked themselves when they created their NFT collection, "Lovely Corals".
They wanted to explore what it would be like if the animals we usually mistake for plants or rocks actually had human characteristics. So they decided to give their corals human-like eyes, lips and legs, and even a little bit of attitude.
Laura is an illustrator and pop-media artist, while Javier is a marine biologist and UV coral macro photographer. They are both advocates for protecting the ocean's coral reefs from climate change. They hope this collection will create awareness about how important these ecosystems are for life on Earth 🌎 and raise funds for their conservation.
